What exactly is "Peace of mind"? I often wonder what it is and how it feels and how to reach it. I've known stress, confusion, pain, hurt, suffering and struggles, known too much of loneliness , seen too much of people feeling hopeless, felt so much while living in this world of sin where there is injustice, loss of love ones, metal illnesses, sickness and death, separation, natural and man made disasters, crimes, corruptions, poverty, abandonment, rape, sexual harassment, child molestation, domestic violence, violence, suicide, hatred, and so much more. I often dream so much of happiness and joy and the difference between them; I've dreamt so much of them but felt like I've hardly felt them, or known them. Peace of mind, what is it, how does it feel and how can I reach it, in a world like this?

What is Peace of Mind

Well I'd say.. Peace has different definitions, peace means different things to each individuals, some definitions might have similarities and differences just like the definition of love.

To some people peace is... Well you let me know. What is peace to you?

For me peace is casting away all worries, stress, pain, hopelessness, being alone but not lonely, at the beach, feeling the cool breezing, sitting in the sand and painting the waters that I see.

Peace to me is going to a park where the grass is clean, on a perfectly cushioned spread with the best food and fruits, alone but not lonely, or with friends or and family, with the perfect weather, and melodious music from nature, or playing my (or our) favorite songs with an open book, writing poetry or stories.

Peace to me is hanging with friends at my house, at their house, at someone's house; in the mall, shopping,;at the beach, chilling; on the road (in town), walking or vimeing, or window shopping; in a plane, traveling... with my friends; with my best friend anywhere; smiling and knowing how happiness feels and feeling it for a very long time.

Peace to me is looking out my window, of a sunny, rainy, snowy, windy, stormy day, knowing I am surrounded by people, still feeling lonely or maybe feeling welcomed, either way having a feeling of safety, love, a feeling that blows my stresses away and wash my tears away and warms me from the cold, protects me from the storm and cools me from the warm, still glowing and embracing my melanin.

Pace to me is me is being at school, college/university or work, with the feeling that I will complete each task, that my work will represent all As, represent success, feeling that even if everything is not completed the same day that everything will still work out, being happy where I am, and growing everyday.

Peace to me is the feeling when riding a bike/bicycle, the feeling of going on a long drive, in the morning, night or afternoon, with windows open with music on that plays in the perfect volume, enjoying myself with friends and family or by myself.

Peace to me is playing the piano, or sitting on the veranda or balcony.

Peace to me is having my own house, car, happy family, business, career, living where I always wanted to, have the money to travel, shop, invest, help those in need, the feeling knowing things been hard.. but I endured and being happy with my hand work and the blessings God gave.

Peace to me is being in your stress, struggles, pain, sicknesses, trauma, confusion, seeing, hearing and experiencing the effects of this sinful world but having hope, that you'll be okay, that we'll be okay, resting your hope joy, peace and love in Jesus Christ my God.

Peace on the day God gave us to rest from work and lay down our stresses and give Him our problems; The Sabbath Day!
